OUR PRODUCT THE 
Something New for the Deaf…
In order to significantly improve autonomy and security for deaf and hearing impaired people, Harmonya has developed 7th Sense, a new environmental control system. This product is manufactured in Québec and has an extremely innovative sound and voice recognition module for which 2 patents have been submitted. Our sound recognition module is unique, it has the ability to learn and recognize sounds such as the door bell, the telephone ringer, smoke detector and more. This is a particularly innovative advance that addresses many needs for autonomy at home that have not been addressed in the past. For example, it can learn the sound of household appliances such as the microwave oven. To do so, you simply have to put the sound recognition module in the main area of the home and it will recognize the sounds that it has already learned when it was installed.
Receptors (pagers and “night stand” receptors) are another technological advance and can relay an alarm signal. If you want to reach someone in case of emergency or simply to contact them, you just need to push the pager button and the other receptors in the home will vibrate and light up to get the occupants’ attention.
You can have one sound recognition module at home and another one at a family member’s home and still only use one pager that you carry with you, it will automatically recognize the home that you are in. This product is portable and can easily be used when travelling, at the cottage, etc.
7th Sense takes environmental control systems from the analog era into the digital era, with intelligent communication management between the various modules. Interference between two installations or between appliances is a thing of the past and, because the sound recognition module is wireless and multi-sound, installation is very simple. The 7th Sense, a product to discover!
OUR REMOTE SURVEILLANCE SERVICE 
Besides its products, Harmonya is also known for its daily service. We have thus launched our adapted remote surveillance service. This service consists in connecting a conventional alarm system (intrusion andor fire andor panic) to a remote surveillance central equipped with TDD/TTY telephones. Our operators can then communicate directly with a Deaf person without using a telephone relay service, which ensures a reliable and friendly service and guarantees a proper level of security. This unique service allows the Deaf persons to reach a level of security in the same way as a hearing person.
